Sam is a First Class Politics graduate from the University of Nottingham, who also received a scholarship to study International Political Economy (IPE) at the University of York, in which he graduated with Distinction. Tom is a food blogger, entrepreneur, writer and chef. His blog, ‘A Pair of Dirty Pigs’, has recently been noted as being in the ‘Top 10 Up and Coming Influential Instagram Accounts’. Being born and raised in York, Tom sees Spark:York as a chance to work on a project with real value for the city, by adding a social space that unifies and gives voice to some of the outstanding culinary talent on display.

Joe is the founder and managing director of York-based Social Vision Communications Ltd. He is an expert at supporting small, socially-minded companies and social enterprises. As a lifelong York resident, Joe is excited to lead the Social Hub at Spark:York; co-ordinating a collaborative attempt to bring together social enterprises, charities and small businesses for maximum social impact to the city.

Project Manager James has worked on various projects, including The Tower of London, Space Port in Liverpool, the William Wilberforce museum in Hull, The Deep, Warwick Castle, The Royal Armouries in Leeds, the ‘Saw’ ride at Thorpe Park and the Titanic museum in Belfast. James lives and works in York.
Artistic lead Clare’s portfolio includes the Wallace and Gromit ride at Blackpool Pleasure Beach for Merlin Entertainment, the Museum of Liverpool, Eureka and numerous projects for museums and attractions in Dubai and Egypt to name a few. Clare was resident artist and co-creator of the Adventures at Stockeld Park, and continues play a key role through both creative design and construction as well as children’s illustrations. Clare lives and works in York.
