Limor the Coordinator of York NCT (the York branch of the UK’s largest charity for parents) and I had a lively meeting as her 2 year old daughter was there with us. And boy did she want to explore!
‘There are not many places I can take my daughter in York.’ Limor explained, ‘Meeting up with other parents can be a nightmare’. So Spark:York was very appealing to her and her fellow mums as a space their children can enjoy, with space for buggies and all manner of good food and coffee.
Talking about the free daily activities that YorkMumbler will be putting on for kids was a big plus for Limor, but also the fact that the safe is space and welcoming was really appealing.
I hadn’t realised that you don’t actually have to be a member of the NCT to go to their meet ups, sales and events. Everyone is welcome. That was good to hear. And I definitely didn’t know there was a Dads Group too!
