Miss Hazard brings Spark:York to life

Local street artist Miss Hazard has started bringing the Spark:York site to life with one of her trademark pieces of art.

To design the mural, she enlisted the help of Prince’s Trust and Kyra, who were asked for local things that meant something to them living in the City. The finished mural includes references to the City Walls, the solar system models on the York – Selby cycle track, and musical notes providing a nod to the City’s music scene.

Alongside the mural, the Prince’s Trust team decorated some picnic benches, kindly donated by Jewsons, which will feature as communal seating across the site.

The work has now been covered, to protect it until the site is ready to open, so you’ll have to wait a little longer to see the finished piece in the flesh! For now, check out these images, courtesy of All You Need is Love Photography
