Spark:York starts to take shape

Well, it’s been a pretty busy week down at the Spark:York site this week, with 80% of the containers now in place.

They’ve spent the last few months being fitted out over at ACE Containers in Leeds, before being transported to York by Carry Cargo, and skilfully positioned by Chuck and his team from York Crane Hire. It’s a real feat of logistical planning!

Once onsite, the excellent Unconventional Design team will be busy preparing the site for tenants to start fitting out their units. This will include overseeing the windows and doors installation by Lowther Windows; decking the ground floor and building the first floor walkways; cladding the exterior of the containers; and installing artwork and gardens.

All of our suppliers are local, and are either based in, or have a strong connection with York.
